IFFP meets two or three Sundays a month during the school year. Our usual Sunday program begins with our Adult Contemplative Service at 9:30 a.m., followed at 10:00 with our Gathering (service), led by our spiritual director and/or Rabbi Harold White, with our IFFP Choir. At 10:30 a.m., we have Social Time with refreshments and visiting. Our Sunday School Program and Adult Group begin at 10:45. Nursery care for children up to age three is provided from 10-12 by pairs of IFFP teens.
Our Adult Group meets while the children are in Sunday School and provides the opportunity for very informative, lively discussions pertaining to interfaith families. Topics include "December Dilemma, celebrating and coping with the December holidays in an interfaith family", "Does the Sabbath really matter", "Women and Spirituality", and "Children and Spirituality". Our Adult Groups also feature excellent speakers from outside our community covering pertinent issues: a Muslim cleric who spoke on Muslims in America right after 9/11, a feminist rabbi who addressed the subject of Judaism and feminism, and a Christian minister and a rabbi who together discussed a progressive conception of spirituality.
Our Sunday Program is held at the
Albert Einstein High School
1113 Newport Mill Rd
Kensington, MD 20895
